Noni and our Immune System

Noni and our Immune System

Our body has an amazing protection mechanism called the immune system. It is designed to defend us against millions of bacteria, microbes, viruses, toxins and parasites that would love to invade our body.....it is important to understand the immune system so that we give it the support needed to stay healthy...especially during cold and flu season!

An immune system is a collection of mechanisms within an organism that protects against disease by identifying and killing pathogens and tumor cells. It detects a wide variety of agents from viruses to parasitic worms, and distinguishes them from the organisms own healthy cells and tissues in order to function properly. Detection is complicated as pathogens adapt and evolve new ways to successfully infect the host organism.

When something dies, the immune system, along with everything else, shuts down. In a matter of hours, the body is invaded by all sorts of bacteria, microbes, parasites etc. None of these things are able to get in while our immune system is working, but the moment our immune system shuts down, the door is wide open.

The immune system is complex and interesting. Our immune system works around the clock, in thousands of largely unnoticed ways. It comes to our notice when it stops working, or when it does something that has a side effect we can see or feel. When we get a cut, bacteria and viruses enter our body and our immune system goes to work to eliminate the invaders and heal the skin. We inhale thousands of airborne germs every day. Our immune system deals with all of these, usually without a problem. Occasionally a germ gets past the immune system and the cut becomes infected or we catch a cold. The infected cut or cold or flu is a visible sign that our immune system failed to stop the germ. The fact that the cut heals and we recover from our cold is a visible sign that our immune system is able to eliminate the invader.

When our immune system is sluggish, works at less than full capacity or breaks down altogether, we get sick. The disease could take the form of a vitamin or mineral deficiency, organ degradation, diabetes, cancer or a viral or bacterial infection, to name just a few.

Components of the Immune System:

There are many parts of the immune system. The most visible is the skin. It acts as a primary boundary between germs and our body. Part of our skins job is to act as a barrier in much the same way we use plastic wrap to protect food. Skin is tough and generally impermeable to bacteria and viruses.
Our nose, mouth and eyes are also entry points for germs. Tears and mucus contain an enzyme called lysozyme that breaks down the cell wall of many bacteria, and saliva is also anti-bacterial. Once inside the body, a germ deals with the immune system at a different level. The major components of the immune systems are:

  • Thymus
  • Spleen
  • Lymph system
  • Bone marrow
  • White blood cells
  • Antibodies
  • Complement cells
  • Hormones

When the Immune System Breaks Down:

When the immune system breaks down it leaves the body susceptible to an array of diseases. Allergies and hyper-sensitivity to certain substances are considered immune system disorders. Other examples include auto-immune diseases such as juvenile diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and anemia.

Man-made drugs may alleviate pain and symptoms from many ailments, but the side effects of those drugs are often as bad as or worse than the original disease. Drug companies and doctors freely admit prescribed drugs have side effects – they weigh up whether the ‘cure’ is worse than the disease.

BOOST YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM with a shot of Tahiti Trader Noni juice every morning. It is a great way to start your day on track, give you natural energy and give you and your family the immune system boost they need!

Since ancient times Noni juice has been valued for its effectiveness in fighting infections and other ailments attributing to the presence of valuable Polysaccharides. These helpful components stimulate the activity of white blood cells which play an important role in exerting such protective effect. Scopoletin present in Noni juice possess anti-bacterial, anti-mutagenic, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and anti-histamine properties which significantly contribute in sustaining the immune defense mechanism of the body.

There are Two Supplements That Really Charged Up the Immune System!

It is vitally important that you know that these two supplements are essential in your health revival program

1. Noni works to modulate (turn up or down as needed) your immune system so it can work quickly to attack invaders, to help keep your health in tip-top shape.  Noni also works as an anti-viral, anti-bacterial agent for you too.  Noni activates your “killer cells”, works to fight inflammation, protects/promotes the liver function, and signals the release of serotonin to help you feel better too! And that is just the beginning. I recommend taking 2-ounces of Tahiti Trader Island Style Noni or the Original Noni Juice twice per day.

2. Vitamin D works to fuel your immune system (and practically every other metabolic system in the body) and power it with the juice it needs to be powerful and agile at the same time. Researchers have discovered that vitamin D is involved in the biochemical cellular machinery of ALL cells and tissues in your body. Vitamin D is crucial for good health… I recommend (for adults) taking 5,000 to 10,000 units of Vitamin D3 per day, ideally ½ in the morning and the other ½ in the evening. Children 50% of the adult recommendation.

Extra Extra, Read All About It.... Coconut Vinegar is the New Apple Cider Vinegar!

Everyone seems to have a bottle of Apple Cider Vinegar in their pantry and medicine cabinet so that they can use the natural cure-all as part of their diet and beauty routine. But did you know that there may be another vinegar that’s just as beneficial as your beloved apple cider vinegar? Meet coconut vinegar, its hipper cousin....and actually, it is not "just as beneficial," it is 3xs more nutrient dense than Apple Cider Vinegar!

Because of it's fermentation, coconut vinegar a natural source of Probiotics, which feed our Microbiome—that community of good bacteria that keeps us healthy is so many ways.

Also, coconut trees grow in soil that’s highly rich in nutrients, therefore, the “sap” from the coconut blossoms is also rich in nutrients. Coconut vinegar is consequently a good source of minerals and vitamins, including potassium (which helps balance electrolytes, control blood pressure, and process sugar), ascorbic acid or vitamin C (an important antioxidant) and certain B vitamins, particularly B2 or riboflavin (an important vitamin that is essential in the body’s energy production, cellular function, and metabolism).

Coconut vinegar contains all essential amino acids—the building blocks of protein that are often incomplete in plant-based foods.  Amino acids also play a role in oxygenating blood and keeping the immune system healthy, among other key functions in the body.

Tahiti Trader announces the Best Coconut Vinegar: Tahiti Trader CocoVin!

CocoVin…Benefits and Uses

  • Milder, Sweeter and Brighter flavor than apple cider vinegar
  • Strong Probiotic
  • Raw and Fermented Food
  • 3x’s more nutrient dense than apple cider vinegar
  • 17 amino acids
  • Vitamins like: Potassium, Magnesium, and Phosphorus
  • Minerals like: B1, B6, B12, and Inositol.  Inositol increases insulin resistance and lowers blood sugar.  B vitamins are a building block for good health, playing a key role in keeping you energized and [maintaining healthy] metabolism.

Great for beauty regiments… Try this: Soak a cotton ball with one part coconut vinegar to three or more parts water and apply as a homemade toner. Or for a hair conditioning rinse, add a few tablespoons vinegar to a cup of water. Apply to hair and let sit for a couple of minutes, then gently rinse (Make sure to do a patch test, as coconut vinegar is more acidic than apple cider vinegar, so it can be harsh on sensitive skin, and may need to be diluted more).

  • If Apple Cider Vinegar has proven anti-fungal properties, in part because of its acetic content, that means the even more acetic Coconut Vinegar could help with yellowing nails, athlete’s foot, and even dandruff.
  • Coconut vinegar can be used in the same way as any other vinegar.
  • Coconut vinegar can be made from either coconut sap or coconut water…Tahiti Trader uses coconut sap, which produces a more nutritious vinegar than that of coconut water.

Here are some of the common uses:

  • For cooking as part of the ingredients for a dish
  • In a salad dressing, for use in a marinade
  • Added to cold water for a healthy drink
  • Taken pure (1 or 2 spoons) for digestive benefits
  • In skincare routines
