Keeping Your Blood Sugar in Balance
Larry LogsdonShare
"Faith is taking the first step, even when you don't see the whole staircase."
Martin Luther King Jr.
A friend stopped by recently and was concerned when his doctor told him his blood sugar was a problem. In fact, he was warned that he was now in the pre-diabetic range and if he didn’t make some changes in his diet and life style, he would be at risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes. He needed some guidance because he really didn’t understand what his blood sugar meant, why it was a risk factor and most of all, what he needed to do to avoid developing diabetes.
My friend is not alone in his confusion about the importance of balancing blood sugar and the implications to his health. It is now recognized that there is truly an alarming global health crisis created by a growing trend towards high blood sugar resulting in many chronic illnesses.
So why is managing blood sugar so important? Blood sugar, also known as blood glucose, is the main source of energy for the body’s cells. It is derived from the foods you eat. The body’s digestive system breaks down carbohydrates into glucose. Glucose is then transported through the bloodstream to the body’s cells, where it is used as energy. Without a continuous supply of glucose in your blood, your body can't carry out basic functions.
Maintaining healthy blood sugar levels is crucial for overall health. When blood sugar levels are too high, it can lead to a condition called hyperglycemia, which can cause a range of symptoms such as excessive thirst, fatigue, blurred vision, and frequent urination. Over time, hyperglycemia can lead to serious health problems such as diabetes, insulin resistance, heart disease, and stroke.
On the other hand, when blood sugar levels are too low, it can lead to a condition called hypoglycemia, which can cause symptoms such as dizziness, confusion, and seizures. If left untreated, hypoglycemia can also be life-threatening.
You may be surprised to learn that your blood throughout your entire body of around 5 liters has a grand total of 1 teaspoon of sugar! A healthy body has the ability to quickly move the excess glucose from your diet out of the blood and into the cells for energy. An unhealthy body that does not have this ability will have too much sugar circulating in the blood. Eventually, high blood sugar levels can lead to disorders of the circulatory, nervous and immune systems, damaging your nerves, kidneys, eyes, heart, skin and other organs. At the same time, glucose cannot enter the cells that need it and essentially starves tissues in your body. Type 2 diabetes is the condition that happens because of a problem in the way the body regulates and uses sugar.
While the food you choose to eat and how often you choose to eat impact your blood glucose level, two hormones produced in the pancreas—glucagon and insulin—balance blood sugar in your body.
Glucagon regulates blood sugar when your body is in a state of fasting. Without a steady food supply, glucagon helps release a reserved form of glucose, glycogen, stored in the liver and other tissues.
Insulin, on the other hand, helps regulate your real-time blood sugar. This hormone helps glucose enter your cells as an energy source. Without insulin, blood glucose would travel through your blood—possibly accumulating at excessive levels—without reaching the tissues needing it.
The Blood Sugar Health Crisis
Diabetes is growing at an epidemic rate in the United States. The latest statistic report that 37.3 million people have diabetes—that’s 11.3% of the US population. Also, 8.5 million people who have diabetes have not been diagnosed and do not know they have it. And, even more worrying, 96 million US adults have pre-diabetes.
Diabetes is a major health problem that is approaching epidemic proportions globally. About 18 million people die every year from cardiovascular disease which is a direct consequence of diabetes and hypertension. Presently more than 1.7 billion adults worldwide are overweigh and 312 million of them are obese. More shocking is the statistic that 155 million children worldwide are overweigh or obese.
Just what is driving this epidemic? It’s true that type 2 diabetes is caused by a number of factors, especially a poor diet which is high in carbohydrates, sugary foods and drinks, alcohol and ultra-processed foods. Lack of exercise is also a significant risk facts. But recent research suggests there’s more to the story. Research is also pointing to certain environmental chemicals and heavy metals that contaminate the air, water and soil that chronically expose children, adults and women in their prenatal period, amplifying this epidemic.
It’s so surprise that when a diet is devoid of wholesome, organic fruits, vegetables, healthy oils, meat and seeds and nuts as well as fresh air, water and sunshine, the body struggles to function. Add the burden of the many toxic chemical that you are exposed to on a daily basis, and something really has to give when it comes to your health. One of the consequences is a chronic inability to maintain your blood sugar in a healthy range.
Noni Juice Helps Balance Blood Sugar
It goes without saying that there are dietary and life style factors that can help to balance your blood sugar. Henry Ford stated, “If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.” This quote certainly applies to reversing the trend of high blood sugar and even diabetes. The obvious first step to getting your health back on track is to make healthy choices Depriving your body of wholesome food, clean water, rest, sunshine, adequate exercise and a pristine environment, is a recipe for illness.
A diagnosis of high blood sugar or even diabetes, and for that matter any health condition, is really a wake up call to start making changes the necessary changes as well as to learn more about the steps you can do to take to regain your health, naturally.
Noni juice is one of nature’s healing foods. The Noni plant, or Morinda citrifolia, has been known for approximately 2,000 to 3,000 years and is believed to have originated in Southeast Asia or India. Researchers have identified more than 40 different health-promoting uses for Noni, which include maintains healthy blood sugar levels, strengthens cells at the micro level, promotes a healthy inflammatory response and supports wound healing.
The first step in healing your body is to provide the essential nutrients it requires. It is already acknowledged that nutritional deficiencies contribute to health issues including blood sugar imbalances and diabetes. Therefore, Noni juice is important in restoring health because it offers an impressive gamut of essential vitamins, minerals, and other phytonutrients. The vitamin content of noni juice includes B vitamins, such as — vitamin B1 (thiamine), vitamin B2 (riboflavin), vitamin B3(niacin), vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid), vitamin B6, and vitamin B12, as well as vitamin C (ascorbic acid), folate, vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol), and beta-carotene. The mineral content includes calcium, potassium, magnesium, iron, zinc, selenium and phosphorus.
An important study published in 2018 investigated the effective of Noni juice taken over a two month period with diabetic patients. They were give 2 ml per kilograms of body weight per day, after they underwent a standard treatment regimen including carbohydrate reduced diet and treatment with an anti-diabetic drug and/or insulin. Noni juice consumption started only after no further improvement was achieved. The study revealed that the consumption of Noni juice by the 20 diabetic patients resulted in a significant decrease of the morning blood sugar level monitored over the eight weeks. The Noni juice also reduced he numbers in all the usual testing parameters for blood sugar issues, including HbA1c and high sensitive CRP ( an inflammatory marker). The conclusion of the study asserted that, “The daily consumption of Noni juice has the potential to regulate elevated blood sugar levels and some other pathological parameters in patients with DT2. Noni juice therefore serves as a suitable additive to the diet of diabetic patients.”
A person with high blood sugar levels or diabetes usually has an increased risk of high blood pressure. In fact, a person with diabetes is twice as likely to have high blood pressure as someone who does not have diabetes. High blood sugar can also damage your blood vessels and the nerves that help your heart pump. Similarly, high blood pressure can create increased strain on your heart and blood vessels. When these two conditions occur together, they increase the risk of heart disease (cardiovascular disease) and stroke. Similarly, high blood pressure can create increased strain on your heart and blood vessels. When these two conditions occur together, they increase the risk of heart disease (cardiovascular disease) and stroke.
Drinking Noni juice on a daily basis has shown to be immensely beneficial in not only lowering blood sugar, but also lowering blood pressure and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease. As study investigating Noni’s effect on blood pressure found that drinking noni juice caused a significant decrease in systolic and diastolic blood pressure of five percent and 7.5 percent, respectively. Also, the blood glucose levels of participants consuming Noni juice decreased by 7.3 percent. The researchers concluded “The results of the study showed that noni juice may be effective in lowering blood pressure and blood sugar levels.”
There is further research proving that Noni juice helps in reducing the level of glycosylated hemoglobin, serum triglycerides, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol in the body. In addition to this, Noni juice works towards enhancing insulin sensitivity and stimulates the uptake of glucose. All these blood test markers are indications of how well a person is maintaining a balanced blood sugar. In this study, Noni juice was able to significantly reduce blood sugar levels, thus lowering these markers towards a more healthy profile.
When you investigate the many health benefits of Noni juice, you can now add maintaining healthy blood sugar and insulin levels to the list. These are critical factors for preventing diabetes and certainly helping to improve diabetes as well as the many health issues associated with this condition. This is just one more reason to include Noni juice a part of your healthy life choices.
Todd, a Type 1 Diabetic, Gets His Health Back with Noni Juice
Todd Warren was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes when he was just seven years old. He grew up having to take insulin on a daily basis. For most of his young life, he would need to see doctors numerous times a year which often resulted in the need to be admitted to the hospital.

She told him that she had been struggling with Lupus for many years and that Noni juice that had put her Lupus into remission. She told him that Noni juice would also be beneficial for him Although Todd didn’t follow up with that suggestion at the time, he always remembered the conversation. Finally, the time had come for Todd to try Noni juice.

It didn’t take very long before Todd noticed that Noni juice was having a tremendous benefit to his health.
“I noticed that anytime I’m was struggling with any kind of a virus or a bacteria, drinking Noni juice would cut the length of my illness really short. Because I’m a Juvenile Diabetic, anytime I got sick it usually took me a long time to recover. Noni juice took the recovery time almost to zero. This is really a huge blessing. As a matter of fact, I was starting to get a cold recently, so I jumped right onto the Island Style Noni juice and the sore throat was gone!”
Noni juice has also been a blessing in helping Todd manage is blood pressure.
“ I haven’t seen my doctor in a year because of COVID and the insurance company was giving me a hard time with a couple of my medications. One was my insulin and the other was blood pressure medication. The pharmacy would not refill it until I saw the doctor. It had been a couple of days since I had had taken that medication. I could feel my blood pressure rising. So I was drinking Noni juice about three times a day. It actually it helped tremendously because I could feel my blood pressure decreasing.”
One of the major concerns of diabetics is high blood pressure because it increases the risk of a stroke or a heart attack. Todd discovered that Noni juice really helped him with this concern. Not only did it bring his blood pressure down but it has also helped with regulating his blood sugar.
“My blood sugar highs aren’t as high as they’ve been in the past that’s certainly a great benefit to me.”
Todd feels so blessed to have found Noni juice, particularly Tahitian Trader Noni juice.
“It’s been absolutely a wonderful, wonderful thing for me to take on a daily basis. It’s been a huge blessing in my life.”

“If a child who’s a Juvenile Diabetic could just take a couple of ounces of Noni juice every day, it could help that child stay healthy. It would help that child stay strong so growing up can be a less traumatic experience.”
Todd’s deep faith and his own personal healing story with Noni juice will, no doubt, help him realize his dream one day.
Elaine No Longer Has PRE-Diabetes Thanks to Noni
Elaine realized that her family’s history of diabetes could become an issue for her as well. “Diabetes is rampant with my family members”. When she was discovered that she was diagnosed with pre-diabetes, she was determined to find natural solutions to insure she would never become another family diabetes statistic.
Her commitment to insuring that her blood sugar would stay in a healthy range, led her to try Noni juice. She had read about the many health benefits from drinking Noni on a daily basis and decided to add it to her nutritional protocol.
For the past 6 years, Elaine has been a devoted Noni juice fan. “ I feel the difference in my energy levels. Everything really works better when I am drinking Noni juice. I feel like I have a lot more energy. I’m 73 years old and when I look around at people ten or more years younger than me, I realize that I have way more energy than many of them.”
Elaine say that she may hold the worlds record for the number of knee surgeries which number eight surgeries. Obviously, maintaining her energy and her health is a high priority for her. Noni juice has been at the top her list for keeping her strong as well as pain free.
